Hello friends and family of room 78. Thank you to all parents who donated supplies to make our pita party a success, we had so many items we needed to send some back home. Again, thank you so much, without your support our pita's would not have been as delicious.
We have been working on addition this month and students would benefit from some practice at home. Some of the facts we are working on memorizing are doubles. eg; 1+1 = 2, 2+2 = 4, etc. We have also been working on all the facts that add to 10.
In writing we have been focusing on creating interesting sentences. Instead of writing "I went to the store" , we are beginning to use interesting verbs and adding more details such as "On Saturday I skipped to the store to buy a slurpee because I had money from the tooth fairy!".
We still need volunteers for the field trip to Fort Calgary on February 28. Please consider joining us on this wonderful trip.
We also continue to need volunteers for our swimming lessons from March 11-14. Please e-mail me if you are available.
