January 19

Hello friends and family of room 78.  We had a very exciting week.  Students used the book “Snowmen at Night” as inspiration for both writing and art.  We will be showing our work at the assembly next Friday, January 25.  We have also been practicing a winter song to sing at the assembly. 

In Science we have been learning about what animals do to prepare for winter.  We have learned about migration, hibernation, and adaptation.  It would be great to discuss these ideas with your children and let them share what they have learned.  We will be looking more into winter animals throughout the month. 

Reminder to parents:  Please remember to tie back any long hair in the mornings as we do not want it to get caught in the gymnastic equipment.  Thanks for your understanding.

 Next Friday, January 25, our class will be hosting the assembly.  It will begin at 9:30am.  All parents are welcome to attend.
